Refunds

Updated 1 September 2026

If a book is not what you expected, tell us within 30 days and we will refund it. You do not have to argue for it.

The policy

  • 30 days from purchase, for any of these reasons: the file will not open, it prints wrong, it is not what the page described, or you simply do not get on with it.
  • You keep the file. We are not going to chase a PDF around the internet, and a refunded download is not worth the indignity of asking you to delete it.
  • One refund per title. If you buy the same book twice by accident, tell us and we will refund the duplicate immediately, whenever that was.
  • Free books have nothing to refund. If a free download is broken, email us and we will fix it.

How to ask

Email hello@calligraphycoach.com with the email address you bought with, and the book. One line is enough. If something printed wrong, a photograph helps — most print problems are a single setting (choose Actual size or 100%, not Fit to page) and we would rather fix your book than take it back.

Who actually processes it

Refunds are issued by Polar Software Inc. (Polar.sh), our merchant of record, back to the card or wallet you paid with. Any tax charged on the sale is refunded with it. Money typically reaches you in 5–10 business days depending on your bank; the delay is on their side, not ours. You can see the order and its status any time in your customer portal.

Polar also reserves the right to refund a purchase on its own initiative within 60 days, usually to head off a chargeback. If that happens you will hear from Polar rather than us.

Chargebacks

Please email us before opening a dispute with your bank. A dispute costs the business a flat fee whatever the outcome, takes weeks, and gets you your money no faster than simply asking. We have never said no to a reasonable request.

Your statutory rights

In the UK and EU, buying a digital file that is delivered immediately usually means waiving the 14-day cancellation right at checkout. This policy is deliberately more generous than that, and nothing here reduces any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in (India law governs the terms themselves).
